Twin Oaks Barn Summer Wedding | Kathrine & Adam

Kathrine and Adam are finally MARRIED!! I am SO happy for these two and their Twin Oaks Barn summer wedding day was absolutely perfect. Kathrine and Adam are school teachers in the area and met up at a sporting event. They are the perfect match for one another, and getting to know them over the past year has been an absolute honor!!

They had a beautiful outdoor summer ceremony on Friday, June 18th at Twin Oaks Barn at Umstead Ranch in Garner. This was actually the VERY first wedding hosted at this venue!! This barn is a rustic barn with modern iron chandeliers, beautiful windows, and open fields for sunset! Fun fact, the barn was actually built with all wood from trees on the owners farm there!

One of my favorite moments from before the ceremony on their wedding day was when Kathrine gave her parents gifts. I was already in on the secret, because we took these special portraits for them as a surprise during her bridal session! She had a portrait taken during bridals holding a portrait of her grandmother, and even though her mom came to her bridals we were able to keep it a complete surprise! Her dad dropped off his classic car during her bridals thinking it was a promotional thing for the venue, but really she was taking bridal portraits with it to gift him. Seeing them open their gifts and cry together was so sweet.

Not only are Kathrine and Adam so sweet and have hearts of gold, but they are SO much fun! The kind of fun that involves a huge group of people and six champagne bottles popping after the ceremony! What a fun way to start off the party!!

Right after dinner we snuck away from sunset portraits, and I KNEW from her bridals earlier just where to find the perfect spot! The open fields leading down to the venue are perfect for some romantic just married sunset portraits, and these are some of my favorite from the whole day. We got there just in time for some sunset glow!

After partying all night long with their friends and family, these two had an amazing sparkler exit and headed on their way to Mexico for their honeymoon!

Kathrine’s bridal robe was made by her mother out of her mother’s wedding gown!!! These are the sentimental personal touches I love to see on wedding days. WOW!

The bride and groom are aunt and uncle to the two ring bearers. The ring bearers carried a case with the words ring security on it down the aisle.
How cute are these two!? He had an ear piece and all and looked like secret service coming down the aisle!

Then let the dance party begin!! They danced for almost 2.5 straight hours!!
