Lauren & Brock

Lauren and Brock are getting married!! These two have been together for almost four years now. They’re getting to plan their dream wedding next April at The Bradford! This spring I headed to Fort Mill, SC to take their engagement photos along the Catawba River.

They got engaged in May and decided to hold off on wedding planning to enjoy their engagement for a few months. Then in the fall they moved into their new house, and got the SWEETEST dog ever in December! Brock has a son who got to name their dog, and he named him Pancake. Seriously the cutest dog name ever. I hope they get more dogs and continue the theme of breakfast foods.

When I was chatting with Lauren about places to take their engagement photos, she mentioned a small trail near their home. The trail leads down to the Catawba River. These two are naturally homebodies, so taking engagement photos close to home was perfect for them. These two live in Fort Mill, SC. Since I’m in Raleigh and couldn’t head over there to scout the spot ahead of our session, Lauren was super sweet to send me some photos ahead of time of what the trail looked like. It was even better than I imagined in person!

We drove just around the neighborhood to the trail entrance where we stopped by a small field of tall grass with the light leaking through the trees. This was the perfect place to take photos with their dog, Pancake. This way he didn’t risk getting wet and muddy down by the water! Then we walked down the trail along the water to a spot that Lauren and Brock had found with large rocks. This location was perfect because they had the sun setting right behind them beyond the trees. I love that they chose a location that was special to them, because now they will remember these moments together every time they walk on this trail together.
