Emilee & Matt

Emilee and Matt are finally married!!! These two met through an amazing friend who had recently passed away, and they gave such an amazing tribute to him on their wedding day this May. Emilee and Matt were married in a beautiful garden wedding at Stonewall Farm in Youngsville, NC. They have a daughter together, who is the sweetest ever and she was the most amazing flower girl!

This wedding day was predicted to have a full day of storms and rain. The day before, I drove across town to even pick up extra clear umbrellas prepping for the worst of it! By a MIRACLE, the rain had gone just below us and we missed it all until about 8pm. Emilee and Matt were able to have their outdoor ceremony without stressing about the rain!

Stonewall Farm has so much variety for portraits. There is a pond, barn, garden, and an open air reception venue for a night outdoors. There are also peacocks all over the venue! One of my favorite spots for portraits was up against the stone wall with ivy all along it and string lights. It made me feel like we were in a romantic garden – which was perfect for Emilee’s amazing wedding gown! Her lace wedding dress with the long puffy sleeves was the Taylor Swift wedding dress of my dreams! She looked so beautiful!

Some of my favorite moments to look for on the blog…

1. Their daughter wearing Emilee’s wedding dress while the girls were getting ready. One of my favorite photos ever! So sweet!!
2. Emilee’s first look with Matt! These two were so nervous leading up to the wedding, especially with the added stress of looming bad weather. Once they saw one another, you could tell all their worries went away!
3. Emilee and Matt did a private last dance in the barn at Stonewall Farm and this was such a great way to celebrate their day together before their sparkler send off.

Congratulations Emilee and Matt! I am so excited for you both to start this new and exciting season of your life together. Thank you so much for having me photograph your beautiful wedding day!
