Jessica & Scott

Jessica and Scott are married!!! These two met in Campbell Law School, and have been inseparable for about 6 whole years now! Jessica is from Texas, and moved to NC to marry her soulmate. All of their friends and family came to celebrate their beautiful wedding at Southern Grace Farms this May!

When I first talked to Jessica, she said she envisioned a fun and elegant wedding day, with “big poofy dresses” and tuxedos. Boy she was spot on!! This day was SO much fun, and so beautiful to capture. There were something blue details throughout the entire wedding, from the flowers, to the stationary, to the reception details.

On their wedding day, the forecast was calling for storms and rain all day. You know that good old NC weather likes to keep us on our toes! It poured for about 2 hours while getting ready, and then the skies magically cleared for these two and they were able to have the outside ceremony of their dreams! I am so happy it did too, because many of her friends and family traveled from ALL over to come enjoy their beautiful wedding day!

Some of my favorite moments to look for:

1. While it was raining and they were deciding whether or not to change plans for an indoor ceremony, Jessica got to hold the venue owners sweet puppy for a little bit of stress relief. How adorable!!
2. Tied onto Jessica’s bouquet was a pair of bluebirds that have been passed down for generations in Scott’s family on wedding days.
3. During the ceremony, Jessica’s grandpa came up to read a verse, and he also brought with him a bag of dirt straight from Texas! This was such a funny moment from the ceremony where he brought some Texas soil for them to stand on and say “I Do”.
4. The first dance and parent dances are always a favorite moment of mine. Jessica picked out a song called “Just Fishin'” by Trace Adkins. This was special to them because growing up, every Friday was a special daddy daughter day for them and they loved to go fishing.

Jessica and Scott, I am so happy for the both of you, and I absolutely loved getting to celebrate such a special day for you with your friends and family! Congratulations!
