WHAT. A . YEAR! 2022 was my busiest and best year of business yet and I am so honored I get to do what I love and serve such amazing people and families. I will never get over how special it is to be a part of the sweetest moments on a wedding day.
At the end of each year I look back on all the amazing weddings I was a part of and all my amazing couples I am so grateful for. This year I decided to start the tradition of doing a Best of SHP Weddings annual recap! I adore all my couples and being able to share all their wedding days in one blog post at the end of the year has my heart feeling so full. I blogged every single one of my weddings this year, so be sure to check out all their wedding days on the blog if you haven’t yet!
Some highlights for my 2022 wedding season:
- 31 amazing wedding couples!!! WOW!!!
- 31 engagement sessions
- 23 different local wedding venues
- 13 bridal portrait sessions
- 3 Proposals
- Attended my first ever photography workshop in Charleston! Life changing!
- Started outsourcing my Pinterest and hired a virtual assistant – woohoo!
- Second shot 6 local weddings for close friends
- Got to photograph weddings for close friends and high school classmates
- Flew to a styled shoot event in Philadelphia – my first solo travel trip!
- Hired a mentor
- Became a mentor
- Started learning to shoot film
- Set up my office in our new home
- My top lead source for inquiries became google (whoa!)
- Photographed my first wedding in a snow storm
- Photographed my first wedding in a hurricane
- Photographed a wedding at a race track
- Made so many new friends my heart could BURST with joy!
I will always remember this year. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all the amazing couples, families, and vendors who have trusted me to capture their most precious moments.

I am simply amazed every day at the work Sarah continues to produce. I have known her since her freshman year in High School and her drive and determination have grown eqch year. Her dedication to her couples is like no other. She pays attention to the smallest of details and is overly prepared for the day. She accommodates crazy requests and works to turn those into cherish memories. I am honored to know her and to have had her capture my son and daughter-in-law this year.
