Lizzie and Josh

I had the absolute joy of finally getting to meet Lizzie and Josh in November for their fall engagement session! We met up one year before their wedding date and celebrated with taking their engagement photos at their wedding venue, The Farmstead. These two are North Carolina natives and met freshman year at NC State in the Engineering village. They quickly became best friends and after a few years started dating! In their free time together they love to travel, go hiking, cook, and spend time outdoors.

After about 4.5 years together, Josh got down on one knee and proposed while they were on vacation at Beech Mountain, one of their favorite places! With the help of two of their closest friends, he proposed in the cabin they were staying at with rose petals and candles lining the floor, fresh flowers, and a timeline of their relationship. Lizzie makes a photo album each year for their anniversary, and he included all of those too! Such a special moment for them, it makes my heart melt!!

Now these two are planning their dream fall wedding day at The Farmstead in Mt. Pleasant, NC. They’re planning to get married under the open barn pavilion overlooking the beautiful fields, with a reception full of friends and family inside the rustic wooden barn. I got to visit their venue for the first time during their engagement session, and I love it so much! It has so much beautiful open space and there were endless places to take photos. One of our favorite spots was on the wooden bridge overlooking the pond.

Lizzie found me through another one of my brides – Brooke!! It’s always an absolute DREAM when I get to work with my couples friends and family! Lizzie and Josh are the absolute sweetest, and we had so much fun at their engagement session. I already cannot WAIT for their fall wedding at The Farmstead!
