Sam and Joe
I am so excited to share some of Sam and Joe’s Duke Gardens engagement photos with you all! I absolutely ADORE these two, and I cannot wait for their fall wedding day this October at the Merrimon-Wynne House!
Sam and Joe met while at ECU. They both were unable to get into a gym class until their senior year, and ended up in the same class together. It was perfect timing.
They dated for about five years before Joe proposed last February! They were planning a trip to Colorado with friends and Sam was suspicious that he could propose there, because it would be so perfect! She had no idea when it was coming though, and Joe proposed after they went on a snowmobiling trip up the mountain – how cool!!
Now these two are planning their dream wedding day here in Raleigh at the Merrimon-Wynne House. They both have big families coming into town for their fall wedding celebration, and I know it’s going to be so much fun to have everyone together in one place!
When we started talking about engagement photos, Sam and Joe loved the idea of taking photos at Duke Gardens! This is one of my all time favorite locations in the Raleigh-Durham area for photos. They do have a permit and session fee required, but it’s always worth it for the beautiful and unique backdrops this garden provides.
Sam and Joe started out their session in a neutral colored outfit with brown and tans. Toward the end of their session, Sam did a quick outfit change into a bright blue dress for some fun pops of color! I love both looks so much!
I had so much fun getting to know these two at their engagement session. We laughed and joked so much, and also bonded over our dogs! I already can’t wait to see them again this fall for their wedding.
