Lauren & Dustin

These two are finally married!! I’m so excited to share some highlights from their beautiful spring wedding at The Matthews House in downtown Cary on the blog!

These two have been together for about 4.5 years now. On Lauren’s birthday last year, Dustin surprised her by proposing at the NC Museum of Art! He took her out to a small overlook by the pond and popped the question. This location is special to them because it’s where they had their first date! We even did a fall engagement session for them here, with beautiful fall colors and wildflowers! After Dustin proposed, they celebrated with a surprise birthday/engagement party with their closest friends and family!

Lauren found her dream venue, The Matthews House, through a friends wedding! She loved the neutral backgrounds and getting ready spaces, and all the traditional charm with a modern reception space. This classic venue in downtown Cary was the cutest place for these two to say I do! The bridal getting ready suite with soft pink walls and beautiful window light was perfect for her wedding color palette too!

Some highlights to look for on the blog…

• The pink and sage color combination was so perfect for spring! Brushed by Bec did an amazing job with all the florals for their wedding day!
• Lauren’s first look with her dad was so sweet! While he was getting ready, she also gifted him an engraved watch and a keychain that made us all teary eyed!
• A special shout out to their INCREDIBLE wedding party! They were all SO much fun and kept the bride and groom smiling all day! They also made great tiktoks!! 10/10
• One of my favorite moments of the whole day was them reading their personal vows to one another during the ceremony. It was so beautiful and heartfelt!
• Their dance floor was packed all night long, so they have SO many fun dancing photos with their friends! It was hard to choose just a few for the blog post!
• They had a fun exit mixed with a little bit of sparklers and bubbles, with a classic car waiting for them to drive away! Anytime a classic car is involved at the end of the night it’s a fun time!!

Congratulations Dustin and Lauren! You two are absolutely perfect together, and you radiate joy in all these photos! I’m so grateful I got the chance to be your photographer! Getting to capture these moments for friends is the absolute best!

Just after dinner we snuck back outside for 10 minutes to get some sunset photos and the lighting was beautiful!
