Anna and Matthew

These two are an absolute dream and I’m so excited to share some of their engagement photos from the local WRAL Azalea gardens! Whenever I see these photos I think about how much fun I had with these two!! We laughed SO much! I’m so glad we got to spend some time together before their wedding day this winter!

We did their spring engagement session toward the end of May. It was the perfect timing to get all the beautiful Hydrangeas in bloom! The fluffy blue and pink flowers were so beautiful this time of year. We actually had to reschedule their original session date due to storms. It worked out in our favor to get these flowers in bloom!

Anna and Matthew originally met each other in the high school marching band. They actually had the same friend group throughout high school and college at NC State! They started dating last year when they went on a trip to his family’s lake house and they really got to know one another. I feel like their love story could be a friends to lovers romance book – it’s so cute!

Matthew proposed earlier this spring at Dix Park in Raleigh. They had a picnic planned in the field, and he surprised her by getting down on one knee to pop the question! Anna said she had an idea it was coming so she was so excited when it happened! These two have been friends for years, and now they’re getting to start their new journey as husband and wife and I am so excited for them!

They are the absolute sweetest people and I cannot wait for their wedding day! Anna and Matthew are getting married this December at one of my new favorite venues in the area, The Upchurch, and I can’t wait!
