Natalie and Grant

Natalie and Grant are finally married, and I am so excited to share a recap of their beautiful Caffe Luna wedding on the blog! What better way to kick off my fall wedding season than with these two in the heart of downtown Raleigh with these two!

Getting to photograph this wedding was extra special, because Natalie and I have known each other since high school when we did band together! When I first met Grant I knew they were perfect together!

Natalie and Grant had their first date in downtown at Caffe Luna, a romantic little Italian restaurant with AMAZING food. That restaurant has been extra special to them ever since, and they went there for dinner the night of their engagement. After dinner they walked around downtown, and Grant proposed to Natalie in front of a Christmas tree with colored lights at the Capitol building. They custom designed Natalie’s engagement ring to be modeled after her grandmother’s ring she wears.

With Caffe Luna being a part of so many of their special moments together already, they decided it was the perfect place to say “I do” too! With the help of faux real flowers and the amazing Something Fabulous Weddings team, Caffe Luna was transformed into the perfect downtown space for their wedding ceremony and reception.

Here are some highlights to look for…

• Natalie and Grant are both huge Carolina Hurricanes fans! They of course included one of their favorite details, Grant’s dad’s Hurricanes Stanley Cup ring!
• After their first look in the courtyard at The Guest House, Natalie and Grant read their personal vows to each other.
• They got their whole bridal party together to take fireball shots before the ceremony in honor of Natalie’s mom! Fireball shots were one of her favorite things to do for special occasions.
• At their ceremony they honored Natalie’s late mom and Grant’s late dad with hats on their seats in their honor.
• Their cats made a special appearance! They had a custom made cake topper to include them and their three cats, and one of their cats even got to be on the dance floor as a cardboard cut out haha
• They ended the night with a magical sparkler send off!

Congratulations to Natalie and Grant! I am so excited for you both and I am absolutely honored to have been a part of your wedding day! You two are so perfect together and I’m so happy for you!
