Sam and Ryan

These two had the most amazing wedding day and I’m so excited to share a peek at the highlights from their wedding at The Meadows!

Sam and Ryan actually met on New Years Day the day after Ryan had moved to Denver. It was such perfect timing! They recently moved to Raleigh, NC with their sweet dog Henry and decided on the perfect venue to host their guests for their wedding celebration. They fell in love with the outdoor vibe at The Meadows. Their fall wedding day was a destination wedding for all their guests, and they had so many amazing friends and family members travel into Raleigh to celebrate them on their wedding day!

The morning of their wedding day started out with very heavy rainstorms. It was so out of the blue – we were not expecting it! Their venue has some amazing backup ceremony options for covered spaces, but about an hour or two before the ceremony, the skies cleared and they were able to have their dream outdoor ceremony under the oak trees. It was perfect!

I love that they had a small and intimate wedding party. Sam had her best friend since first grade be her man of honor, and Ryan had his brother has his best man. The whole getting ready portion of the day felt so relaxed and chill because they were truly just getting to hang out with their friends and get ready. They also had a close friend officiate their wedding, which made it feel so personal!

After their ceremony, they got to spend time with their friends and family catching up at cocktail hour. Sam and Ryan did a first look before the ceremony to get bride and groom portraits and photos with their wedding party, and then they got to chill and have fun for the rest of the night!

Some of my favorite little moments and details from their day…

• Since all of their guests were traveling into Raleigh, Sam and Ryan made the cutest little welcome bags with NC themed snacks and goodies for their guests.
• Ryan seeing Sam for the first time – they are just the cutest!
• Sam’s wedding dress had a CAPE and it was so beautiful!!
• Ryan actually picked out Sam’s bouquet from a local florist at the farmers market and gave it to her on the wedding day
• At each guests seat at the reception they had a hand written thank you note from the couple. This goes to show Sam and Ryan’s hearts and how much love they had for everyone who came to celebrate with them!
• Instead of a traditional wedding cake for dessert, they had a table full of mini single serving dessert varieties, and they had a tater tot bar as their late night snack!
