Rebekah and Mike

Rebekah and Mike are getting married! These two met last year and now they’re planning their dream wedding day at The Sutherland next year! They are absolutely perfect together, and I’m so excited to share some images from their Raleigh engagement session at the WRAL Gardens.

After meeting online, they decided to go out for some fresh local ice cream. Mike said he knew a few places, but Rebekah was like, no it’s literally called fresh local ice cream haha! That ice cream shop became so special to them and one of their favorite local spots.

When they were ready to take the next step and get engaged, Mike had coordinated his proposal plans with the employees working at the ice cream shop. After they ordered their ice creams, the employee called out the name for the order and said “The Stewarts.” Rebekah was suspicious because that wasn’t the name they gave them. Then she noticed that inside her ice cream cone was a wrapped up letter to her. She pulled it out to read and Mike proposed right there at the ice cream window.

They planned out their engagement session to be exactly one year after they had their first date. Of course we ended the session with ice cream at their favorite place! It was so fun to be able to take their engagement photos at a place that felt so personal and special to them.

They’re planning their dream summer wedding day at The Sutherland next year. They said that they love the venue is classy and elegant. It has the perfect place for a secluded outdoor ceremony. This is one of my favorite local venues and I can’t wait to be back celebrating with them!
