Rebecca and Taylor

These two are officially married!! They had the most beautiful and colorful fall wedding day full of pinks and blues at The Meadows in Raleigh.

Rebecca and Taylor met while they were in the same department in school at NC State (go pack!). While originally from Texas, Rebecca moved to the Raleigh area for school. She fell in love with Raleigh, and found the perfect man for her who gave her a good reason to stay! Now it’s been almost 6 years since they first met, and they just celebrated their wedding day!

We did their engagement photos in the spring at the NC museum of art park, one of my favorite places in Raleigh! It was absolutely beautiful, and the flowers were in bloom matching Rebecca’s dress. To see photos from their spring engagement session, check it out on the blog here!

Wedding at The Meadows at Firefly Farm

The Meadows was the perfect place for these two to get married. It was such a beautiful September day, and there are so many incredible places around the venue to take photos. Rebecca and Taylor had a beautiful outdoor ceremony on the lawn in between two large oak trees. The copper arch had beautiful pink and white flowers, and the aisle was lined with white rose petals. Rebecca’s brother got to officiate their wedding, making it even more special for them!

After the ceremony, we got to take wedding party photos in the field, and then headed down into the valley at The Meadows. One of their requests from their questionnaire for the day was for Rebecca and Taylor to have a private moment in the valley to read their vows to one another. It was such a beautiful moment for these two to say all they had written in their vow books, without the pressure and ears of a whole crowd listening in. There were lots of happy tears shed, and I’m so happy they were able to take this moment to be together after the ceremony!

Their reception was all decked out with beautiful bud vases and candles. They shared a first dance surrounded by their guests on the dance floor, and then got to spend the night enjoying time and catching up with friends and family. Instead of a traditional exit, Rebecca and Taylor had a private last dance together and then headed outside to say goodbye to each of their guests. It was such a perfect day!

Here are some highlights to look for…

• Their beautiful invitation suite has a design of a meadow in the mountains, and it was painted to resemble the spot they got engaged!
• Rebecca and Taylor had custom embroidered handkerchiefs for one another, and each of their family members! The perfect gift to help catch all the happy tears.
• We did many first looks for the bride, and no one except her mom had seen her dress before! We got to capture the moment her bridesmaids, her brother, and her dad saw her in her dress for the first time.
• Their sweet cat got to be a part of the day with a charm and photo on Rebecca’s bridal bouquet, and a framed photo on their sweetheart table! I love it!!
• Instead of traditional boutonnieres, the men all had “pocket posies” so it was a jacket pocket full of flowers! So cute!
• During Taylor’s mother-son dance, he included his grandma and danced with her as well! cue the TEARS!
• Just before dinner we got a magical pink sunset in the sky, so we snuck out to the field for a few sunset portraits. It was so beautiful!
• My favorite photo is the flower petal toss under the string lights at dusk!! Just wait ’til you see!

I have absolutely loved working with Rebecca and Taylor! Their wedding day was a dream, and they also had the most amazing vendor team who pulled it all together!
