Gimlets on the Grass

Gimlets on the Grass at the Upchurch this summer was an absolute vibe! Imagine this: a sunny summer day, fresh-cut grass, and one of the prettiest wedding venues around. As a photographer, I had the pleasure of capturing the energy and elegance of their amazing Gimlets on the Grass Summer Open House event, and let me just say, it was nothing short of magical.

Without a doubt, this is truly one of my favorite venues to work at! Not only do I adore the staff, but the space itself is simply amazing for photos. The Upchurch is stunning on ANY given day, but for their Summer Open House, they definitely kicked things up a notch. To give you an idea, we’re talking beautifully styled lounges, a custom bar, florals everywhere, and an atmosphere that was both chill and sophisticated. In fact, the amazing team from Kast & Co events took this design and knocked it out of the park! They are some of the best in the business around here!

Wedding Inspiration at the Upchurch in Cary NC

Now, let’s talk about wedding inspiration at the Upchurch in Cary, NC. In order to showcase all the amazing vendors that were a part of this event, we organized a styled shoot before all our guests arrived. This gave us the chance to photograph an amazing couple around the property and show off some incredible local vendors. I am OBSESSED with all the fun yellow and green details! To be honest, this is some of my favorite summer wedding inspo to date!

Not to mention, be sure to check out the groom’s Mindy Lam pin, the bride’s shoes designed by She is Cheval, and the sweetest dogs smiling at the camera, all thanks to Dogs Like Ash!

Overall, this open house wasn’t just about showcasing the venue – it was about creating a full-on experience for so many amazing Raleigh-area couples getting married! And honestly? It made for some unforgettable photos! I especially loved getting to see so many of my amazing 2024 & 2025 wedding couples at this event! Looking ahead, I can’t wait to be back at The Upchurch again and see what kind of magic we can create next!
