I am so excited to share highlights of Riley’s Duke University spring grad photos! Riley is graduating with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry on the pre-med track. She was SO sweet and I had so much fun getting to know her and her boyfriend during her session!
We spent the afternoon exploring some of Duke’s most iconic campus spots and capturing this exciting time before she heads off to her next adventure. Post-grad, she’ll be working as a medical scribe at an orthopedic surgery practice back home in Virginia while applying to medical school. I have no doubt she’s going to do amazing things!
Riley was ahead of the game for grad photos, and ordered her cap and gown online in order! This allowed us to do her grad photos early! Duke doesn’t get cap and gowns in until late Spring usually, but thankfully she had this matching blue grad gown from online. I would totally recommend doing this for future grads for early photos, or borrowing a gown from a previous grad if possible! We were able to take her photos in MID march with PEAK cherry blossoms! It was the perfect opportunity to go into Duke Gardens for photos with all the flowers blooming and pink trees!
Riley also shared some heartfelt advice for other students: “Always take a moment to reflect on how far you’ve come and remember the days when you dreamed of being exactly where you are now.” I love this so much! It is such a good reminder to soak it all in while it lasts!!
Congratulations to the Duke class of 2025!! Keep scrolling to see some of my favorite Duke University spring grad photos around the chapel and in the gardens!
