Raleigh Spring Engagement Photos | Rachel and Thomas
Rachel & Thomas
Thomas and Rachel’s engagement photos at the NC Museum of Art was the perfect mix of modern and romantic, starting at the museum of art park and ending with golden hour portraits in Downtown Raleigh. As a Raleigh wedding photographer, I love when couples choose spots that are meaningful to them. This one was extra special because the NC Museum of Art is where Thomas proposed!
Thomas lived in Raleigh, while Rachel was in grad school in Philadelphia, so planning the perfect proposal took some thought. After getting the ring, Thomas knew he wanted to pop the question somewhere meaningful. He chose the museum, a favorite local spot, and surprised Rachel with a sweet walk through the park. After he proposed (and she said yes!), they celebrated with ice cream which is just the kind of relaxed, joy-filled moment that fits them so well.
For their Raleigh engagement session at the NC Museum of Art, we started out taking photos with their sweet puppy! We found lots of blue flowers, greenery, and used the wide open fields for photos here. It’s also one of my favorites for its versatility. From the art museum, we headed to Downtown Raleigh for a few cityscape photos, mixing natural greens with classic architecture. We ended their session with skyline views at sunset of downtown Raleigh on the Boylan Bridge! One of my favorite views!
Their spring wedding at Merrimon-Wynne in Raleigh is equally stunning (more on that coming soon to the blog!). The blend of classic Southern charm and modern elegance made their day unforgettable.
I feel so lucky to have been part of their journey, from the spot where Thomas proposed to the day they said “I do.” See some of my (MANY) favorites from their engagement session on the blog below!!
