Nick and Val’s fall wedding at Carolina Grove was one of the most joy-filled and meaningful days I’ve had the honor of photographing. They are both so special and their day was a beautiful reflection of their faith, families, and journey together.
Because they made the great choice to tie the knot in September, Carolina Grove was at its dreamiest. The soft golden light filtered through the tall trees, and the surrounding forest had just began to show hints of fall color. This peaceful, secluded venue always feels like a quiet getaway, perfect for an intimate, intentional celebration like theirs! It was such a wonderful place to celebrate with so many of their dear friends and family who traveled from far away.
Val looked absolutely stunning in her gown, complete with a cathedral-length veil that flowed beautifully walking down the aisle. There was a moment while she was getting ready that she mentioned the lace floral design all over her dress reminded her of home in costa rica and it was so beautiful.
Their wedding party was one of the biggest I’ve photographed, 18 groomsmen and 14 bridesmaids! Val’s mom served as her maid of honor and Nick’s dad was his best man. It was such a beautiful display of how central family is to their lives. Their friend group was proof of how amazing these two are together and it was so incredible to see how everyone showed up for them in different ways.
Val’s bridesmaids wore a beautiful mix of peach, blush, and soft pink gowns that perfectly complemented the natural and romantic tones of the day. The groomsmen wore matching navy blue tuxedos, adding a timeless contrast to the bridesmaids.
Additionally, their wedding colors were a soft summer palette showcased perfectly through the florals and decor. The ceremony was Christ-centered and heartfelt, with worship, communion, and even a song performed by Val’s mom during the ceremony. Every moment felt sacred, intentional, and deeply personal.
Their wedding reception was so much fun! In fact, their first dance was a surprise salsa routine that could not have been a bigger hit with their family and friends. It was such a fun and energetic moment that showed off their personalities and had all their guests cheering.
Congratulations to Val and Nick! Wishing them both the best of love and life in their marriage!! If you missed their engagement session at Duke Gardens you can read more about their love story here! See more of my MANY favorite photos from their beautiful fall wedding at Carolina Grove below!
