Lance and Emily

These two are finally married and they had the absolute best spring wedding day! Emily has been collecting blue and white ginger jars for years now, and every piece played a beautiful part in her wedding day vision. Their blue and white spring wedding at The Evermore in Apex was a dream!

Emily and Lance originally met through mutual friends while they were in college, and then reconnected later on and the timing was just right. These two lovebirds had been dating for two years before getting engaged last summer. They were at his family beach house in ocean isle, and while they were out fishing on the boat, Lance surprised Emily by getting down on one knee and asking for her hand in marriage.

Blue and White Wedding at The Evermore

The Evermore was the perfect place to have their outdoor spring wedding day! Emily loves horses, and we even took their engagement photos last summer with her horse! This barn was the perfect place for her blue and white wedding day. The ceremony and reception space were decorated with beautiful white florals, blue and white ginger jars, candles, and the table numbers even tied in her love of horses with the horseshoe frame.

One of my favorite moments from the day was Emily and Lance’s private vow reading before the ceremony. They did not want to see each other before the ceremony, so we hid them on either side of a barn door so they could hold hands and read their personal vows to one another. I think this was the moment it all started to feel real for them, and they were immediately at ease knowing they were together! Lance’s face when he finally saw Emily walking down the aisle was the sweetest, and everyone could see in that moment how in love they were and how excited they were to be married!

Some more highlights to look for on the blog…

• Emily got ready the morning of her wedding in a custom robe that was made from her mother’s wedding dress! They even preserved the detailed beading from the dress on the back!
• Emily had a heartfelt first look with her dad before walking down the aisle. Lots of tears were shed! Her family members joined in afterwards, and Emily surprised her dad with a customized tie that had a photo of them on the back.
• Emily had a family diamond from her grandmother tied around her bouquet to carry with her throughout the day.
• The bridesmaids dresses are BEAUTIFUL!!! The pattern perfectly tied into her ginger jar inspiration!
• They had a vintage car that was perfect for some romantic sunset portraits! The skies were overcast all day long, but the sun peaked out just in time for a few sunset photos during the reception and it was the perfect timing!
• They had a live band that kept the dance floor FULL all night long!!! After a couple hours of dancing, Emily and Lance shared a private last dance, had a sparkler exit, and drove off in their getaway car.

I could go on and on about how sweet Emily and Lance are, and how amazing their wedding day was! It was truly the best day and the sweetest beginning to their forever. Emily and Lance, Thank you so much for choosing me to be your photographer! It means the world that you trusted me to be a part of such special moments. I can’t wait to see the beautiful life you build together!
