Fall Engagement at Historic Oak View Park | Brooke & Matt

Brooke and Matt got married this spring at the Club at 12 Oaks in Holly Springs. I absolutely loved getting to know these two and spend time with them at their engagement session leading up to the wedding day! We took their fall engagement photos at Historic Oak View Park in Raleigh!

Historic Oak View Park is one of my favorite locations for engagement photos in Raleigh. I love that it has a lot of variety for photo spots all within a short walking distance. There is an open field where the sun sets right behind a line of trees. I’m a little biased on how much I love this area, because it’s actually where I got engaged!

There are also white barns, white picket fences, a pecan grove, and lots of little walking trails that are great for photos. It’s a popular spot in Raleigh for photos because of the cute southern charm it has. Sometimes I often do bridal portraits here too because it looks like an estate like venue!

On the day of their session we were closely eyeing the weather. We decided we would give it a go and we were able to jump right into their session and finish right as the right started coming down! It was perfect timing!
