These two are the absolute SWEETEST! I am so excited to share their Topsail Beach engagement photos on the blog! I met Dylan and Maddie in the fall. He had messaged me to let me know he was getting ready to propose to Maddie. He planned the sweetest surprise proposal at Dix Park with the fall wildflowers in full bloom. Once they started planning their dream wedding at The Meadows for this December, Maddie and Dylan reached out to me to photograph their wedding day too! What a dream! I’m so honored I get to be a part of so many exciting moments for these two!

Topsail Beach Engagement Photos in North Carolina

Maddie and Dylan had the wonderful idea to do their engagement session at one of their favorite places – Topsail beach! These two bought a dream of a beach house here together. It the perfect little getaway, and it’s one of their favorite places to spend their time.

I met them at their beach house and then we walked straight over to the beach together. The sunlight was perfect for us! We were watching the radar all week long trying to predict what it would do! Just as we were finishing up on the beach, a small dark cloud started coming our way. Spencer checked the weather for us and it said it wasn’t supposed to rain. Of course that small dark cloud rolled right over us and the rain started coming down right on top of us! We ran right out of the rain – it was that small of a rain cloud!

Maddie and Dylan also have the sweetest dog CC who we of course needed to take some photos with too! We went right over to the sound side of the beach for a golden sunset and portraits with CC. Then as we were walking back to the house I saw the prettiest colors in the sky as the sun was setting! We walked right back out to the beach for a few more photos with the gorgeous sunset! The skies truly looked like cotton candy!

The smallest raincloud came out of now where and started to rain on us right before we were going to pop the champagne! We ran down the beach to run out of it!
