Jane and Matt are married! I have adored this couple ever since I met them for their engagement session in downtown Raleigh, and getting to capture their wedding day was so much fun! They got married at an estate outside of Raleigh, NC. There was a classic and elegant theme throughout their day, from their white florals, to the designer details, talented musicians, and choreographed dances.

They met back in 2014 while they were both attending NC State University. Go Wolfpack!! They both are best friends. After hearing so many wonderful stories from their friends throughout the day and during toasts, I know they were meant to be! Matt proposed during March 2021 at the City Market on the cobblestone streets.

When Jane and Matt first talked with me, they wanted their wedding day to feel intimate, welcoming, and fun. They successfully pulled it off! Even with a guest count of closer to 100, the whole day felt intimate and meaningful. Jane and Matt both were so intentional about how they spent their time and made an effort to talk with all their guests.

You never would have guessed this was a February wedding, because it felt like beautiful Spring weather with sunshine all day long. During the ceremony, Jane’s brother played the cello, and her father sang a song dedicated to them. This was so special to witness and such a beautiful personal touch from the family. Then at their reception, they had choreographed special dances for their first dance and father daughter dance!

One of my favorite moments from their wedding day was their first look! They saw each other in private before the wedding ceremony to have some time alone and get the most from their wedding day. This allowed them to maximize their time together, be intentional with their schedule and keep things on track, and get way more photos together! After all, the bride and groom portraits are the ones you’ll probably be hanging on your walls to enjoy for years to come!
