Maddy & Marty

Maddy found me through one of my wonderful Spring brides and I was so excited to take her engagement photos this Spring! She wanted to take photos in the daffodil field at Dorthea Dix and then in Downtown Raleigh! This beautiful field of daffodils blooms in early March and hundreds of people come to see it. We caught the tail end of the daffodils this year, and we even had snow flurries the day after this session!

Maddy and Marty have been together for 6 years now and they’re getting to plan their dream wedding in Virginia later this year! Marty proposed at Duke’s campus in December with the prettiest engagement ring I’ve ever seen! They also have the sweetest golden retriever named Hattie. We of course had to include her in on the fun for engagement photos and she did a great job! I always love getting to meet my couples dogs!

After taking photos at Dorthea Dix, Marty and Maddy did a quick outfit change and we headed over to Boylan Bridge in Downtown Raleigh. This bridge is one of my favorite spots for photos in downtown because of the beautiful skyline view! I loved this location with their pink and blue outfits.

After the bridge we walked over to Wye Hill Brewing where they were able to stop and get a drink. This was a fun way to end their session and get some photos of something they love to do together. They spent a lot of time in that area of Raleigh together so it was sentimental to do their engagement photos there.

I loved getting to meet these two and their sweet dog, and I am so excited for them to go married this Fall! Congratulations, Maddy and Marty!
