Maura & Jerson

I have been so excited about Maura and Jerson’s wedding day since the first day I talked with them! I knew right away that these two were so sweet and I am so grateful I got to photograph their Spring wedding at Merrimon-Wynne in Raleigh!

Maura and Jerson moved recently from Boston, MA. He proposed the night before they left for Raleigh. They have loved exploring Raleigh, and got the chance to host their family and friends here for their wedding at Merrimon-Wynne. These two have been together for almost ten whole years, so of course they had to celebrate like it! Their wedding day was made perfect with the planning and design of Stephanie from Viva L’Event in Raleigh! They had a beautiful outdoor ceremony on the lawn, cocktail hour inside the house, and floral filled reception inside the carriage house.

These two chose to have a smaller bridal party for their wedding day, and let me tell you it was AMAZING. Having a small group made it easy for them to relax the day of their wedding, enjoy their time with each other, and spend more time with friends and family. Maura got to spend the morning getting ready with her sister and mom in the bridal suite, and it was so relaxed.

One of my favorite moments from their wedding day was their first look on the porch. You can tell these two are the best of friends, and I could feel a sense of relief and excitement all at the same time as soon as they got to see one another. Then they celebrated with an impromptu fist bump. Jerson had the biggest smile on his face watching Maura walk down the aisle. These two had me smiling behind the camera all day long.

During their reception, Maura’s sister gave a sweet toast to the newlyweds and mentioned how kind Maura is. I already knew these two were the sweetest heading into their wedding day, but their friends and family confirmed it even more. She has a heart made of gold! After her father daughter dance, Jerson’s mom sang a beautiful song dedicated to them. The whole crowd was in tears, it was so beautiful to see.

Maura and Jerson, thank you so much for having me photograph your beautiful wedding day! I have truly loved getting to know you both and meet your friends and family. I hope you enjoy these sneak peeks while you are in your honeymoon in the Keys!!!
