Introducing The Waltons!!! I’m so excited to be sharing a preview of Kathleen and Steven’s wedding day on the blog! These two are the sweetest ever, and there were so many happy tears shed on their wedding day. They had a beautiful fall wedding at Hope Valley Country Club in Durham.

Kathleen and Steven met online first and since they had a lot of mutual friends, they bumped into each other at a party together. Almost four and a half years later, these two are saying I Do surrounded by their loved ones on their wedding day!

They got engaged in the fall of 2021 while they were hiking in Asheville. They love a good adventure and spending time outdoors. I got to hear so many wonderful stories during their toasts at their reception!

This was my first time being at Hope Valley Country Club for a wedding day and I loved it! Their wedding coordinator, Travis, was super on top of things and helped the whole day run smoothly. They had their ceremony in a candlelit room with tall vaulted ceilings. It felt so cozy and intimate.

Their reception was held right next door in a ballroom with white and gold colors and fall florals to decorate the tables. On each table they had a personalized table number with photos from their engagement session!

Here are some of my favorite moments from their wedding day to look for on the blog:

• Steven and Kathleen’s first look! They were hesitant to do this when I first brought up the idea, but as soon as they saw each other, they both immediately said “I’m SO glad we did this!” Seeing them teary eyed together before the ceremony was the sweetest moment!
• Their fun wedding party photos! I love the golf course for their wedding party photos and the teal colors of the bridesmaid dresses!
• Steven’s face when he saw Kathleen walking down the aisle!!!
• Sunset bride and groom photos with Kathleen’s long veil on the golf course!
• Toasts – they had four wonderful toasts given after dinner and the whole room was laughing and teary eyed. I love capturing this part of wedding days!
• Their dance party!!! They had their dance floor packed, and even had fun light up foam sticks to add color and extra fun for their guests.

Their wedding day was so much fun, and I’m so happy I got to be their photographer!!! So thankful for a mutual friend who recommended me to them!

Congratulations Kathleen and Steven! I am so thrilled for you two and cannot wait to see all the amazing things you do together in your new adventure as husband and wife! Enjoy a little preview of the best day ever!!!
