Engagement Photos at Duke Gardens

Erin and Cooper’s spring engagement photos at Duke Gardens in Durham, NC could not have been more perfect! We had some gorgeous weather on our side, and these two were complete naturals in front of the camera. May is such a magical time for engagement photos at Duke Gardens because so many things are blooming! It was so easy to photograph them and we had so much fun together! Erin was a maid of honor in a past wedding of mine, and it’s so exciting to be working with her and Cooper now for their big day next spring!

We spent the evening exploring Duke Gardens, stopping for photos at the fountain, the Pergola, and on some walking trails. Erin and Cooper brought two outfits for a mix of both casual and elevated looks. I always welcome a wardrobe change because it gives you so much variety for your save the dates, wedding website, or printed pictures! We got so much variety it was like having two sessions in one!

Their love story started when they met through mutual friends after graduating college. After dating for a couple of years, Cooper proposed with the sweetest set-up at the most magical time of year! He planned and set up the proposal on the steps of the home they share together while it was all decorated and lit up for Christmas with the marquee letters spelling, “Marry Me?” on the steps. How cute is that?! I’m waiting for their hallmark movie to drop!

Erin and Cooper are tying the knot next spring at the Beaufort Hotel, teaming up with the talented planners at Your Perfect Day to bring their dream wedding to life. We can’t wait to celebrate them on their perfect spring wedding day!
