Sam and Joe

Prepare to be swept away by the timeless elegance of Sam and Joe’s black tie wedding at the iconic Merrimon-Wynne House in Raleigh, NC. With a large and fun wedding party by their side, plus their sweet pup, this fall wedding celebration was a testament to love, laughter, and cherished moments shared with family and friends.

Sam and Joe met while at ECU together. They both were unable to sign up for gym class the entire time they were in school, and ended up getting their PE credit fall sememester of senior year. It was truly fate because they found each other! They got engaged about 4.5 years later while on a trip to Colorado with friends. She went snow mobiling up the mountain, stopped to take photos, and Joe surprised her by getting down on one knee! The rest is history!

Timeless Elegance at Merrimon-Wynne

They planned a beautiful outdoor fall wedding at the Historic Merrimon-Wynne house in Raleigh NC. They had lots of friends and family travel in and were so excited to have all their loved ones in one place! The lawn was a beautiful sunny spot for them to say their vows, and everyone moved the party into the carriage house to dance the night away after.

One of the most heartwarming moments of their wedding was the inclusion of their beloved golden retriever, Penelope. As avid dog lovers, Sam and Joe couldn’t imagine saying “I do” without their furry companion by their side. She was a star of the show during the ceremony, and took the cutest photo with the bridesmaids surrounded by pink florals.

Here are some highlights to look for…

• Their custom stationery suites were so beautiful, and set the tone of elegance for the day.
• Sam and Joe’s first look on the southern front porch of merrimon-wynne was so beautiful! I will forever love that moment for them!
• Their ceremony was so sweet, and it included their sweet dog Penelope.
• The florals they had were to die for! I loved the neutral and blush tones they had throughout the day. Everything was so classic and elegant.
• During their cocktail hour, they had a champagne tower where they popped the bottle with a family sabre, a family tradition!
• During the first dance, they invited their dog up to join them which was the cutest moment ever!
• Sam’s second outfit for the reception!
• Their live painter who captured the essence and beauty of their ceremony so perfectly!

Sam and Joe’s wedding was indeed a true reflection of their love, and it was an honor to capture the magic of their special day. Thank you Sam and Joe for trusting us to capture your wedding day! I loved every moment of it!
