Abbie and Adam have known each other since high school, and now they’re getting married! Funny enough, Adam asked Abbie to the high school prom and he said she turned him down! What a lesson of perseverance guys haha. They reconnected a few years after high school. They are the perfect fit for each other! Timing is everything!! They already knew they wanted to take their summer engagement photos at the NC Museum of Art because it was where they had their first date. I already LOVE this location for engagement photos, but knowing it was sentimental to them makes it even better!!

This engagement session was extra special to me because I have know Abbie since Kindergarten!! Thankfully social media has made it easy to keep in touch with lifelong friends! We reconnected a few years ago to take her grad school portraits at UNC! It has been so much fun getting to reconnect with her and her twin Josie, and now I’m so excited to photograph Abbie’s wedding!!!

They had two different outfits and I loved both of them! The first outfit was long white dress, perfect for summer, with a button down and khakis. By choosing lighter colors they were able to get the light, airy, and romantic feel in these photos! Their second outfit was a little more casual, and it was perfect for walking through a field with wildflowers!

Abbie and Adam are getting married this January at The Cotton Room!! I can hardly wait for all the fun we are going to have celebrating them!! See some of my favorite summer engagement photos from their session at the NC Museum of Art park below!!
