I am so excited to be Maura and Jerson’s photographer!! I finally got to meet them for their Raleigh engagement photos this Summer and we had so much fun. They are so sweet and as soon as I talked to Maura for the first time I knew we instantly were friends!

These two just recently moved to Raleigh last fall from Boston and they are planning their wedding at Merrimon-Wynne next spring! Right before they left Boston, Jerson proposed at a restaurant in Boston with their friends and family there. What a sweet way for them to jump start their new life in Raleigh!

They have been together for 9 years now so this day has been a long time coming and I am just so happy for them! They said they were so nervous going into their engagement session because they rarely take photos together. You would NEVER be able to tell from these photos though!!! They did such an amazing job, and most importantly had a fun time too!!

During the summer I love the NC Museum of Art as a location for engagement photos. It has tall grass, wildflowers, and beautiful willow trees. It’s a photographer’s playground, and still so close to downtown!

I loved getting to know Maura and Jerson more at their engagement session and talk about all things Raleigh! Since moving, they have loved exploring their new city here. They love to try local restaurants, so of course I had to tell them about all my favorites too! After their engagement session they headed over to one of my suggestions (Relish!!) and even sent me a picture afterwards!! I just adore these two people and I already can’t wait for their wedding day.
