Shannon and Blake

Shannon and Blake are finally married!!! These two have been together for 10 whole years now after they started dating at the end of high school. They are absolute best friends and it was so sweet to watch them have their perfect wedding day at Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure!

They found me through Blake’s sister (and Shannon’s best friend) Brooke! Brooke had already booked me to capture her April wedding this year in Holly Springs, and I was so excited when her brother and Shannon reached out to capture their wedding day in the same month! How fun!!

Shannon chose the prettiest lavender color palette for bridesmaids dresses and Carolina Flowers did an AMAZING job on their spring florals! Tulips are one of my favorite flowers ever and it makes my heart happy to see them in bouquets!

These two had a low-key intimate wedding with some of their closest friends and family. After the pandemic and having an intimate wedding of my own at a similar size, these weddings have a special place in my heart.

Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure

This was my first time visiting Rumbling Bald just outside of Asheville. This venue was a beautiful place to get married on Lake Lure. The girls got ready at the Spa, and then we took portraits on the lake with mountain views behind them. The wedding ceremony was held at the gazebo on the lake, covered with beautiful spring florals from Carolina Flowers. This was such a romantic place for a wedding ceremony!

The sun came out from behind the clouds just in time for a few sunset portraits with the mountains in the background. Then Shannon and Blake got to enjoy their wedding reception on the terrace with their friends and family dancing the night away. They ended the night with a sparkler exit with their bridal party and family.
