There is nothing sweeter than getting to photograph my wedding couples as they move into new seasons of life! These Raleigh newborn photos with baby Ella Ruth were truly such a full-circle moment. I had the honor of capturing Katie and Luke’s wedding day at The Maxwell in 2023. Now here we are documenting their first days at home with their beautiful baby girl. My heart!

We did their session right in their cozy nursery, and it was the perfect space for photos. I love photographing newborns at home because it’s comfortable, personal, and truly tells the story of “home.” Soft morning light, tiny details thoughtfully chosen by mom and dad, and the sweetest little girl who was calm as could be for her big debut. It was all just perfect. I loved seeing how naturally these two stepped into their new roles as parents, the way Katie snuggled her close, and the way Luke couldn’t stop smiling at her. You can already tell this little girl is so loved.

Newborn sessions at home are always special, but photographing a past wedding couple with their new baby girl felt extra meaningful. Ella Ruth, you are absolutely precious, and I can already tell you’re going to bring so much joy into this world.
